The release of the Healthier SG white paper on 21 September 2022 is one of Singapore’s biggest healthcare reforms since 1993. Key features of the Healthier SG strategy outline how the Singapore government plans to shift the focus of the health system to take a proactive approach in empowering Singaporeans to live healthier. Associate Professor Jeremy Lim, Director of Global Health at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health comments on the challenges ahead for the Singapore health system.
