Helping Singapore’s Malay-Muslim community beyond the pandemic

Dr Mohamad Shamsuri Juhari, Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS observed that some members of the Malay-Muslim community would be more vulnerable to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. He opined that with the implementation of targeted and accessible assistance schemes, this could be an opportunity to improve their economic situations long after the virus has run its course.
