Lab to boost treatment of liver cancer launched

The Purpose Programme’s Joint Laboratory at Biopolis – a collaboration between NUS, A*STAR’s Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, the Genome Institute of Singapore, the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Samsung Medical Centre – was launched on 1 May 2018. The programme could cut waiting time in determining which drugs are most effective in treating a liver cancer patient – from three to four months to just three or four weeks – which may prove to be a lifesaver for some patients.
