Link between dementia and loss of hearing in older S’poreans

A study by Assoc Prof Ng Tze Pin from the Dept of Psychological Medicine at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Dr Rebecca Heywood from Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, has found that older Singaporeans who lose their hearing are 2.3 times more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment or dementia.
