Logic behind the rule of China's Communist Party
Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, examined the reasons why the Communist Party of China (CPC) had triumphed over the Kuomintang in the 1940s. He noted that this was because the CPC was more concerned with serving the people, which made them more popular with the masses.
