Mainland China should be flexible in managing issue of the Republic of China identity

Dr Qi Dongtao from the East Asian Institute at NUS opined that in taking a pragmatic and flexible approach to managing the Republic of China identity, both China and Taiwan should avoid a politicised interpretation of acts of civil identity by non-political entities and individuals.
