New database to promote better use of Singapore waters

The Tropical Marine Science Institute at NUS collaborated with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and other government agencies to launch the GeoSpace-Sea initiative – a new database on Singapore’s waters which aims to provide comprehensive geospatial data for port and coastal planning as well as environmental management – on 29 June 2019.
In addition, the third Smart Port Challenge, was launched at the Innovfest Unbound exhibition on 28 June 2019. The event is one of several industry-wide initiatives under PIER71 (Port Innovation Ecosystem Reimagined @ BLOCK71), by NUS Enterprise and MPA.
