Using tech tools to replace real patients in medical school

NUS hosted the 2nd National Conference on Technology-Enhanced Learning from 21 to 22 November, which Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) Mr Ong Ye Kung attended as the Guest-of-Honour. The conference included a showcase of projects that incorporated technology in education, such as the MediSIM project by Assoc Prof Erle Lim of NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Developed in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, the project incorporates augmented reality visual aids with an abdominal manikin to help students learn about diseases and symptoms.
