North Korean and Chinese security interests are interlinked

Dr Guo Liangping, Senior Research Fellow from the East Asian Institute at NUS analysed the North Korea nuclear issue by looking at the possible approaches of China. He opined that China needs to consider using security assurances to convince North Korea to abandon its nuclear programme, as the security interests of both parties are interlinked.
