NUS Law revises Class of Honours policy to reflect rising quality of students

The NUS Faculty of Law has revised its Class of Honours policy to bring its Honours awards closer to comparable universities in the United Kingdom and Australia. Industry players and students welcomed the landmark policy revision. The top 10 per cent of each cohort will now be eligible for the First Class Honours degree, up from 5 per cent. More students will also be awarded the Second Class (Upper Division) Honours degree, expected to be the top 65 per cent to 68 per cent of each cohort, up from the current 50 per cent. The new policy will start with students graduating in June 2016.
