NUS Mandai research project on insect diversity awarded $600,000 funding

The Mandai Insect Survey – a two-year project that studies the rich insect diversity in the secondary forests of the Mandai precinct that is led by Dr Hwang Wei Song and Dr Ang Yuchen, NUS lecturers who are also curators of the entomological collections at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at NUS – is among four local environmental research projects awarded a total of $600,000 by the Mandai Park Development to study conditions in the Mandai precinct and help identify ways to address the impact of developments to turn the area into an eco-tourism hub.
