NUS provides drug dosage guidelines for Type 2 diabetes patients during Ramadan

Researchers from the dept of Pharmacy at the NUS Faculty of Science have developed a dosage guide for Type 2 diabetes patients so that they can fast safely. The Fasting Algorithm for Singaporeans with Type 2 Diabetes (FAST) is used in consultation with a person’s doctor and can help determine how doses should be changed when blood sugar levels fall below or above certain levels during the fasting month.
