NUS receives S$2.6m to set up professorship honouring former civil servant

A new professorship has been set up at NUS in honour of the late Mr George E Bogaars, a civil servant who was credited for his work in building up the administrative service of the country. The University received S$2.6 million in gifts from various donors to set up the George Bogaars Professorship in History, which will be established in the Department of History in the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
