NUS research teams awarded EMA grants for projects on cost-effective storage innovation

Four NUS research teams received research grants awarded by the Energy Market Authority to develop cost-effective energy storage innovations that can be deployed in Singapore. One of the NUS projects is led by Assistant Professor Praveen Linga from the Dept of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the NUS Faculty of Engineering. His team will look into the conversion of natural gas into a solidified form, and this storage solution will cost about half that of conventional compressed natural gas storage technology.
