Obese elderly may have fewer years of healthy life

A survey of 3,452 Singaporeans over the age of 60 by a Duke-NUS Medical School research team has found that seniors with a higher body mass index (BMI) might have the same number of remaining years of life compared to those with a lower BMI, but spend fewer of those years in good health.
