Plain packaging of tobacco products never intended as ‘silver bullet’

Prof Teo Yik Ying, Dean of the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS noted that the recent proposal to introduce standardised tobacco packaging has elicited strong responses from diverse sectors. He opined that the move complements anti-smoking measures, such as the ban on point-of-sale display.
