Ray of hope in bid to tap more of sun's energy

A team of scientists led by Prof Armin Aberle of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore at NUS, and Prof Tonio Buonassisi from the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, has created a solar cell with 21.3 per cent efficiency, the highest measured for a locally made cell.
