SERI-NUS study: Young children with myopia at higher risk of poor vision, blindness
A five-year study by the Singapore Eye 2 Institute (SERI) and NUS, led by Prof Saw Seang Mei of the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS, found that Singapore children who develop myopia at early preschool or primary school are at a higher risk of having high myopia in adulthood, which can lead to poor vision or blindness.
