ST Engineering Chief Vincent Chong joins the NUS Board of Trustees

The National University of Singapore (NUS) will appoint Mr Vincent Chong to its Board of Trustees on 1 July 2026.

Mr Chong is Group President & CEO of ST Engineering, a global technology, defence and engineering group with a portfolio of businesses across the aerospace, smart city, defence and public security segments. An NUS alumnus, Mr Chong also serves on the boards of Jurong Port and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, and was a member of Singapore’s Economic Strategy Review Committee on Global Competitiveness.

Mr Hsieh Fu Hua, Chairman of the NUS Board, said, “We are delighted to welcome Vincent to our Board. His broad industry and leadership experience, international outlook and deep understanding of technology and engineering will certainly enrich our discussions.”

Members of the Board of Trustees are appointed by the Minister for Education. The Board is made up of eminent leaders from the public sector, academia, business and various professions. The Board works closely with the management and stakeholders of the University to shape its vision, chart major directions, and guide significant initiatives.
