Steering biomedical research

Prof Barry Halliwell, Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor from Dept of Biochemistry at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Senior Advisor to the President at NUS, spoke about his upcoming appointment as the Chairman of the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) at A*STAR, his plans for BMRC and the progress of biomedical research in Singapore. Prof Halliwell’s leadership appointment at A*STAR will start from 1 January 2017, and runs concurrent to his NUS responsibilities.
