Strong showing for NUS' EMBA

The NUS Business School’s Asia-Pacific Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme has moved up eight notches to rank 17th in the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2016, an annual ranking of the world’s top 100 executive MBAs. The School’s double-degree Executive MBA programme with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA-NUS EMBA) is ranked sixth globally, maintaining its leading position as one of the world’s top 10 EMBA programmes.

The rankings are derived from surveys of recent alumni as well as data provided by business schools. Salaries and salary increases are two of the ranking criteria in which the NUS Asia-Pacific Executive MBA fared well, with its alumni enjoying a post-graduation salary increase of 48 per cent. An increased proportion of graduates also felt that the programme helped them to either achieve their career goals or fulfil their reasons for pursuing an EMBA. The programme saw an improvement in diversity and quality as well, with 40 per cent female students, compared to 27 per cent previously. A greater number of experienced executives enrolled in the programme, helping the programme to gain a higher work experience rank of 14.

The NUS Asia-Pacific Executive MBA features transformational and problem-based learning through unique, experiential components, and offers parallel tracks in English and Mandarin.

Offered jointly by NUS Business School and UCLA Anderson School of Management, the UCLA-NUS EMBA offers an immersive and international experience to students. Graduates from the programme typically see a post-graduation salary increase of 57 per cent, one of the highest among business schools in Singapore. In the area of diversity, the programme did well, with each cohort attracting participants of 20 nationalities.
