The current and future state of relations between the bureaucrats and people of China

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, noted the problems facing China’s ruling class and its citizens. He opined that as China's society modernises, a modern form of governance based on innovation and universal values is also needed.
