The myth of Magna Carta

Prof Simon Chesterman, Dean of the NUS Faculty of Law, discussed the significance of the Magna Carta in English and Singaporean law. He opined that the Magna Carta has come to symbolise the freedom of English and American citizens 'and citizens in Singapore and everywhere else' to enjoy the rule of law, democracy, and human rights.
