The plight and future of contemporary Chinese

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, discussed the plight and future of the Chinese society by referring to ancient Chinese philosophy. He opined that China can successfully develop ‘human rights’ if it looks beyond acquiring power and wealth.
