The Singapore way of calculating budget balances

Prof Chia Ngee Choon, Deputy Head of the Dept of Economics at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who is also Director of Singapore Centre of Applied and Policy Economics, and Co-director of the Next Age Institute at NUS, noted that Budget 2018 is consistent with the “Singapore way”, namely being sustainable, pro-active and forward looking.
