The state of play in Indian politics

Dr Ronojoy Sen from the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS discussed the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in state elections in the north-eastern state of Assam, India. He opined that the regional parties will be a force to reckon with in the next national election, and that the BJP and Congress party would already be thinking of picking the right allies.
