In her public lecture entitled “I am chosen by God”, Asst Prof Sher Banu Abdul Latif Khan, from the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, discussed the exemplary leadership of Sultanah Safiatuddin Syah who ruled Aceh between 1641 and 1675 upon the demise of her husband.
