Trumpism' and the dilemma of American democracy

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, discussed the violent behaviour of supporters arising from the intense competition among candidates in the US Presidential election, and noted that the violence is a manifestation of anger emanating from middle-class Americans towards the US economy and political system.
