What the Paris climate deal could mean for Singapore in 2030
Mr Gautam Jindal, Ms Melissa Low, and Assoc Prof Ho Juay Choy from the Energy Studies Institute at NUS discussed the significance of the Paris Agreement, which is adopted by countries in December 2015 in an effort towards collective global action till 2030 on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, on Singapore. The authors opined that Singapore should continue to study the potential of international market mechanisms and keep a close eye on further developments in this space.
