Time to counter ageism in the workplace

Prof Wei-Jun Jean Yeung, Provost-Chair Professor from the Dept of Sociology at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Founding Director of the Centre for Family and Population Research at NUS, opined that raising the retirement age is an inevitable policy shift. Employers and government need to work hard together to counter ageism and foster a work culture and environment friendly to a workforce with different age groups.
