CQT Distinguished Fellow Artur Ekert wins Milner Award and Lecture 2024

Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) Distinguished Fellow and Research Professor Artur Ekert has been named the winner of the Milner Award and Lecture 2024 by the UK’s Royal Society for his pioneering contributions to quantum communication and computation, which transformed the field of quantum information science from a niche academic activity into a vibrant interdisciplinary field of industrial relevance.
The Milner Award and Lecture is the premier European award for outstanding achievements in computer science. The award recognises outstanding European computer scientists who have made substantial contributions and will likely go on to further top-level achievement.
