Ms Tan Shui-Min named Digital Leader of the Year by GovInsider

NUS Chief Information Technology Officer, Ms Tan Shui-Min was recognised with the Digital Leader of The Year Award on 26 March 2024, at the Festival of Innovation Awards organised by GovInsider. The Festival of Innovation Awards shines a spotlight on public sector individuals and agencies driving innovation and digital transformation.

Ms Tan received the award in recognition of her leadership in driving NUS’ digital transformation and setting new standards of excellence with a vision of becoming a "Borderless University, Powered by Infinite Technology“.

To achieve this vision, Ms Tan led the development of a comprehensive five-year Strategic Plan for NUS IT that aligns with the University’s overarching goals and leverages technology to enhance education, research, and administrative processes. Besides putting in place infrastructure that is both flexible and robust, the plan, which is currently in its second year of roll-out, seeks to strengthen the security of NUS’ digital assets and cultivate a workforce that is proactive, digitally savvy and future-ready.

Under Ms Tan’s leadership, NUS IT continues to make significant strides to bring to life initiatives that underpin the University’s strategic priorities and elevate its technological capabilities.
