New undergraduate bursary to help needy NUS medical students

The new OncoCare Medical Bursary, which is an undergraduate bursary for needy students at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, will be available from the academic year starting in August 2015. OncoCare Cancer Centre has pledged a sum of $750,000 over five years to set up the bursary. The Centre was founded by consultant medical oncologist, Dr Tay Miah Hiang, who is an NUS Medicine alumnus and a former undergraduate bursary recipient.
