NUS and Universitas Gadjah Mada establish Tahir NUS-UGM Collaboration in Medicine Programme
The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the medical school of Indonesia’s Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have inked an agreement to establish the Tahir NUS-UGM Collaboration in Medicine Programme on 4 May 2016. The collaboration in medical education and research will see the carrying out of student exchange programmes and the development of a global medicine curriculum. The two medical schools will also work together to build clinical and medical capabilities through training workshops and attachments. The collaboration was made possible by Indonesian philanthropist Dr Tahir’s donation of S$1 million.
