Prof Wang Gungwu: Unlike West, China’s pursuit of modernity has no ending point

At the “China in 2035: Xi Jinping’s Vision for Modernisation” forum organised by the East Asian Institute (EAI) at NUS, Prof Wang Gungwu, Chairman of the EAI, noted that both the Indian and Chinese civilisations have similar notions of “development”.
