Unravelling the Gordian knot of antimicrobial resistance
Assoc Prof Hsu Li Yang, Programme Leader of the Antimicrobial Resistance Programme at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS, discussed the concept of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and how the AMR issue should be tackled. He also highlighted a need now for strong political leadership, a proactive medical profession and an enlightened public, in view that there is no single solution.
