What can be done about the bureaucratisation of the Communist Party of China

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, opined that the bureaucratisation that has taken root within the Communist Youth League of China and the Communist Party of China is a worrying trend that will result in the government losing touch with the Chinese society and will also have a serious impact on the society. Prof Zheng noted that the only way for China to achieve sustainable development is for the government to carry out reform and rebuilding of the existing system.
