Stock market, property market and China's atypical economy

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS examined the outsized role played by the stock market and property market in China's politics. He opined that capital should be diverted from the property market to the stock market so as to avoid a property bubble that could threaten the country's stability.
