Pursuing maritime rights through the concept of land sovereignty

Dr Guo Liangping from the East Asian Institute at NUS discussed a recent speech by a renowned Chinese scholar that called for the Chinese government to resolve the South China Sea issue through island-building. Dr Guo opined that it is more important for China to look at establishing an international order congruent with its long term interests.
