Prof Rajasekhar Balasubramanian receives the PROSE Award

Professor Rajasekhar Balasubramanian, from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Faculty of Engineering, has received the 2020 Professional and Scholarly Excellence Award (PROSE) for Environmental Sciences, in recognition of his contributions to the sixth edition of the Global Environmental Outlook – GEO-6: Healthy Planet, Healthy People, edited by United Nations Environment, Cambridge University Press.

Presented by the Association of American Publishers, the award acknowledges the GEO-6 team whose landmark work has made significant advancements in the field of Environmental Sciences. GEO-6 aims to help policymakers and all of society achieve the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals, internationally agreed environmental goals and the multilateral environmental agreements.
