Assoc Prof Simon Tay conferred President’s Award for the Environment – Singapore’s highest environmental accolade
Associate Professor Simon Tay from NUS Law has been conferred the President’s Award for the Environment (PAE) 2025. The award, Singapore’s highest environmental accolade, recognises Assoc Prof Tay’s enduring impact and leadership in advancing Singapore’s sustainable development, particularly his dedication and efforts in addressing transboundary haze pollution both locally and in the region.
The PAE honours individuals, organisations and education institutions that have made significant contributions towards environmental sustainability and resilience. It aims to inspire greater collective action towards tackling environmental and sustainability challenges.
On his win, Assoc Prof Tay said, “I’m honoured and I share the award with those who have supported my work. At NUS, I’m thankful for academic colleagues who appreciate that our knowledge can be shared and used.”
