Assoc Prof Tan Kong Bing wins the NHG Outstanding Education Partners Award

Associate Professor Tan Kong Bing from the Department of Pathology at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, was recently presented with the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Outstanding Education Partners Award 2022. This award is given to non-NHG faculty in recognition of their teaching contributions and work in NHG’s education initiatives.
   
Nominated by the National Skin Centre (NSC) for this award, Assoc Prof Tan’s educational association with the NSC first began in 2005 when he regularly contributed skin pathology slide quizzes to the senior residents in Dermatology, using various audience response formats, including interactive crossword puzzles.

Assoc Prof Tan has also participated in regular clinicopathological conferences at the centre as the reviewing pathologist. He has been an invited speaker in regional and international Dermatopathological conferences organised by the NSC, and teaches on the topic of melanocytic tumours at the annual Basic Dermatopathology Workshop, catered for the senior residents.
