NUS Wi-Fi On The Move receives OpenGov Asia’s Singapore Recognition of Excellence

NUS IT has bagged yet another award - this time for its NUS Wi-Fi On The Move initiative!

They received the Singapore Recognition of Excellence 2024 award by OpenGov Asia, which recognises public sector, healthcare, education, government linked companies and financial services industry organisations for their innovative and disruptive use of technology through optimising processes, delivering people-centric services, and pushing new boundaries.

Launched in August 2023, NUS Wi-Fi On The Move builds on the University’s award-winning outdoor Wi-Fi solution to extend the NUS Wi-Fi’s secure connectivity well beyond the campus boundaries to the entire nation.

NUS Wi-Fi On The Move embodies a paradigm shift towards a truly borderless institution powered by infinite technology. Mr Nelson Wong, Head of Network at NUS IT, said, “By providing seamless and secure connectivity beyond NUS’ boundaries, this innovative solution has unlocked new possibilities for teaching, learning, research, and security, signifying a huge step towards transforming the digital landscape of Singapore!”
