Sung Kah Kay Asst Prof Kuldeep Meel named IEEE’s ‘AI’s 10 to Watch’

Assistant Professor Kuldeep S. Meel from NUS School of Computing has been named one of ‘AI’s 10 to Watch’ by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Intelligent Systems journal. The list comprises 10 individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and were selected based on scientific quality, reputation, impact, expert endorsement, and diversity.

Asst Prof Meel was recognised for his work on “beyond NP” (nondeterministic polynomial time) problems, an area where he is a leading researcher. According to IEEE, his work “strikes the right balance between theory and practice leading to algorithms and software tools that combine rigorous approximation guarantees with scalable performance on industrial benchmarks”.
