InfinityGlove™ Team bags 2021 IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award

A team of scientists from the Institute for Health Innovation and Technology (iHealthtech) at NUS has received the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award at the World Engineers Summit 2021 on 11 November 2021.

The team, comprising Professor Lim Chwee Teck, Director of iHealthtech, Dr Yeo Joo Chuan, HATCH Translational Manager and Dr Du Kang, Acting Chief Product Officer, was recognised for their winning project, “InfinityGlove™ – Smart Sensorized Glove for Gaming and Healthcare”. The project was evaluated based on engineering practice, environmental aspects, technological innovation, and societal impact.

The criteria for the Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award includes contribution to the well-being of people and communities; resourcefulness in planning and in the solution of design problems, pioneering in use of materials and methods; innovations in planning, design and construction; unusual aspects and aesthetic values.
