NUS IT has been recognised as one of APAC's digital transformation trailblazers for their SAFE (Security and Freedom for Everyone) project, at the Computer Weekly Innovation Awards APAC 2024!

In a landscape where cyber threats loom large, finding a delicate balance between robust security measures and seamless user experience is no small feat. Through a two-year initiative, the SAFE project team comprising NUS IT staff from security, infrastructure, applications, service desk, and communications, worked together to deploy cutting-edge capabilities like passwordless access and foster a culture of security awareness and collaboration across the University.

Winning this award underscores NUS IT’s commitment to innovation and excellence in safeguarding the user community, systems, and data against evolving cyber threats. Beyond defence and detection, the SAFE project also prioritises delivering a top-notch user experience for students and staff.

“This project marks the beginning of a long-term roadmap and paves the way for NUS IT’s journey of excellence in cybersecurity and user experience. We will continue to drive digital transformation while prioritising security, collaboration, and user-centric innovation,” said Candice Khor, programme manager for SAFE.
