“Nursing Studies with VR”, a training application developed by NUS IT and the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, has emerged tops in the ‘Best Use of Emerging Technologies’ category in the recent CIO Academy Asia’s inaugural 2021 INSPIRE Tech Award. The award was received by Ms Tan Shui-Min, Chief Information Technology Officer on behalf of NUS at the ConnectGov Leaders Summit on 28 Oct 2021.

The “Nursing Studies with VR” project was selected from 83 other nominations from five countries in South East Asia. The project focuses on the digitalisation and automation of nursing clinical practice, and the empowerment of self-directed learning for nursing students in NUS.

The INSPIRE Award recognises end-user organisations who have emerged stronger by deploying technology to overcome challenges posed by the shifting business landscape due to the pandemic crisis.
