Researchers from NUS Computing receive Amazon Research Awards 2022

Associate Professor Ilya Sergey and Assistant Professor Trevor Carlson from the NUS School of Computing were announced as recipients of the Amazon Research Awards 2022, among a total of 74 awardees from 51 universities in 17 countries.

Assoc Prof Sergey’s research proposal involves program synthesis, while Asst Prof Carlson’s research proposal is about accelerating the solving of the Boolean Satisfiability problem.

The Amazon Research Awards is a programme that provides unrestricted funds and Amazon Web Services (AWS) promotional credits to academic researchers investigating research topics across a number of disciplines. Recipients of the award will have access to more than 300 Amazon public datasets, and will be able to utilise AWS Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning services and tools.
