Three NUS professors honoured as Asia’s top 100 scientists
NUS Deputy President (Research and Technology) and Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor Liu Bin; Professor Hong Wan Jin from the Department of Biochemistry at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; and Assistant Professor Koh Ming Joo from the Department of Chemistry at NUS Faculty of Science, have been named in the 2023 Asian Scientist 100 list.
Compiled by the Asian Scientist Magazine, the annual list recognises the efforts and achievements of Asia’s exceptional scientific talents. Honourees included in the list have been awarded a national or international prize in 2022. Last year, Prof Liu was elected to the prestigious US National Academy of Engineering as an international member; Prof Hong was awarded the President’s Science and Technology Medal; and Asst Prof Koh received the Young Scientist Award presented by the Singapore National Academy of Science.
